The Story of Joya
How Joya Started
Joya was created by a company called Cia. Topo Chico. This company was already well-known for making mineral water. When Joya first came out in 1942, you could only find it in two Mexican states: Nuevo Leon and the northern part of Tamaulipas.
Growing Across Mexico
Over the years, Joya started to become available in more places. In 2004, people in Coahuila and parts of San Luis Potosí could buy Joya. Then, in 2005, it reached even more states like Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Baja California.
Joining The Coca-Cola Company
Also in 2004, Joya became part of The Coca-Cola Company. This is a very big company that makes many different drinks around the world. After joining Coca-Cola, Joya continued to expand. By 2006, it was introduced in Hidalgo and parts of Morelos and Puebla.
