Judith Maria Ten Bosch is a talented Dutch painter and illustrator. She was born in Dordrecht, Netherlands, on April 26, 1957.
About Judith Ten Bosch
Judith Ten Bosch was born in 1957. She is one of a set of twins and has four other brothers and sisters. From 1976 to 1980, she studied art at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten Sint-Joost in Breda.
Illustrating for Kids
For ten years, Judith illustrated recipes for kids in a newspaper called NRC Handelsblad. She worked with Philip Mechanicus on these fun projects. Their illustrations and recipes were later put into several books. These books include De vrolijke keuken (1997), Het kleine fornuis (1997), and Een warm pannetje (2004).
The book De vrolijke keuken was very special. It won the Zilveren Griffel award in 1998. This award is given to the best children's books in the Netherlands. The book was even given to 500 schools in big Dutch cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam to help kids learn and read.
Judith has also illustrated many other children's books. Some of these include:

- Meis en Manneke en de stastoel (2002) by Patricia Kuiper
- Een boek vol beesten - Neushoorn (2005) by Marjolijn Hof
- Onder de kerstboom - Het denneboompje (2005) by Hans Christian Andersen
In 2006, she worked with her sister, Geerten Ten Bosch, to illustrate Sprookjes van de planeet aarde by Anne Vegter. Both sisters showed their illustrations for this book at the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava in 2007.
In 2011, Judith illustrated Mijn opa en ik en het varken oma by Marjolijn Hof. This book also won an award, the Vlag en Wimpel, the next year.
Her Art in Museums
Judith Ten Bosch is also a painter. Some of her paintings are displayed in important museums. You can find her artwork in the collection of the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, Netherlands. One of her paintings is also part of the collection at the Dordrechts Museum.
Since 2002, Judith has worked with another artist named Titus Nolte.
