Julian Burnlee Curry (born 8 December 1937 – died 27 June 2020) was an English actor. He was well-known for playing Claude Erskine-Browne. This character was in the legal comedy-drama Rumpole of the Bailey on ITV.

Early Life and Education

Julian Curry was born in Devon, England. His father, William Burnlee Curry, was a headmaster. He led the Dartington Hall School for many years. Julian went to Dartington Hall School himself. Later, he studied at King's College, Cambridge.

Acting on Television

Julian Curry started his television career in 1965. His first role was in a series called For Whom the Bell Tolls. He appeared in many popular TV shows over the years.

  • Z-Cars (in 1965 and 1975)
  • The Onedin Line (1976)
