About Julianne Phillips

Julianne Phillips was born in Evanston, Illinois, in the United States. She was the youngest of six children. Her father, William Phillips, worked in insurance. Her mother was Ann Phillips. Starting Her Career

After college, Julianne Phillips went back to Oregon. She began acting in local plays. This led to her signing with Elite Modeling Agency in 1982. The agency thought she was a "perfect-ten." She could earn as much as $2,000 a day as a model.

After modeling in New York City, Phillips moved to Los Angeles. There, she appeared in a music video for the band .38 Special. The song was called "If I'd Been the One." This helped her get acting roles. In 1984, she acted in two TV movies: His Mistress and Summer Fantasy. She also appeared in the music video for "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen.
