Her Art Projects
Julie Brook is known for several interesting art projects. Here are some of them:
- An Dealbh Mòr (2005–2006): This was a year-long project with a school called Bun Sgoil Shlèite. Students learned to draw and paint from the beautiful landscapes of South Skye. The project ended with a very large painting on canvas. This painting was then used as a floor cloth in a special performance. The performance used movement and music to show how the geology (the rocks and land) of Skye changed over time. This artwork was shown at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the Isle of Skye. It was also presented at the Scottish Parliament.
- Out of the ground, a thread of air (2023): This artwork is located in the gardens of Holker Hall in Cumbria, England. It was created in 2023.
