June Diane Raphael (born January 4, 1980) is an American actress, comedian, and writer. You might know her from TV shows like Grace and Frankie or Burning Love. She has also been in movies such as Year One and Unfinished Business. June also co-hosts popular podcasts like How Did This Get Made? with her husband Paul Scheer.

June Raphael's Early Life
June Raphael grew up in Rockville Centre, New York. She finished high school in 1998. She has two older sisters, Lauren and Deanna.
After high school, June went to New York University (NYU). There, she studied acting at the Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating in 2002, June and her friend Casey Wilson learned improvisational comedy. They studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. They even had their own two-woman comedy show there for several years. This show helped them start their careers as writers.
June Raphael's Career in Comedy and Acting
June Raphael started her comedy journey at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB). She performed and wrote shows in New York and later in Los Angeles. One of her most famous shows at UCB was Rode Hard and Put Away Wet. She wrote and performed this show with her comedy partner, Casey Wilson. The show ran from 2003 to 2006.
June and Casey also started writing movies and TV shows together. They wrote their first movie, Bride Wars, and also acted in it.

As an actress, June Raphael has appeared in many TV shows. These include Party Down, Happy Endings, New Girl, and Lady Dynamite. She has also been in films like Long Shot and Blockers.
In 2010, June played Barb in the comedy series Players. She also starred in all three seasons of the web series Burning Love.
From 2011 to 2013, June co-starred in the action-comedy series NTSF:SD:SUV::. In 2015, she got a main role as Brianna Hanson in the Netflix comedy series Grace and Frankie.
Writing and Podcasts
June Raphael and her writing partner Casey Wilson have written many scripts. Their film ... Backwards premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
June also co-hosts the popular movie discussion podcast How Did This Get Made? with her husband, Paul Scheer, and comedian Jason Mantzoukas. On the podcast, they talk about movies that don't make much sense.
June also wrote a book with Kate Black called Represent: The Woman's Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World. This book helps women who are thinking about a career in politics.

June Raphael is married to actor and comedian Paul Scheer. They first met in 2004. They moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2005. In October 2009, they got married. They have two sons, born in 2014 and 2016.
