Jérôme Golmard (born September 9, 1973 – died July 31, 2017) was a talented tennis player from France. He played with his left hand and used a two-handed backhand.
Jérôme became a professional tennis player in 1993. He reached his highest singles ranking of World No. 22 in April 1999. He won two big singles titles during his career. He also made it to the semifinals of the Monte Carlo Masters tournament in 1999.
Throughout his career, Jérôme Golmard earned more than $2.2 million in prize money. He was known for beating many famous players. These included former World No. 1 players like Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Gustavo Kuerten, and Juan Carlos Ferrero. He also defeated Grand Slam champions such as Richard Krajicek and Goran Ivanišević.
In 2014, Jérôme shared that he had been diagnosed with Motor neurone disease, a serious illness that affects muscles and can cause them to stop working. He sadly passed away from this disease on July 31, 2017, when he was 43 years old.

Singles Success
Jérôme won two singles titles on the ATP Tour. These were big wins that showed his skill. He also reached the finals two other times, but didn't win those matches.
- 1999 Dubai Tennis Championships: He won this tournament in Dubai by beating Nicolas Kiefer.
- 2000 Gold Flake Open: He won this event in Chennai, India, against Markus Hantschk.
