Küblis (also spelled Kublis) is a charming village in Switzerland. It is located in the beautiful Prättigau valley. Küblis is a municipality in the Prättigau/Davos Region within the canton of Graubünden. It's a great place to explore the Swiss Alps!

A Glimpse into Küblis's Past

Küblis has a long history. It was first mentioned in official records in the year 1351. Back then, it was known as ze Cüblins. A few decades later, in 1389, its name changed slightly to Kúblis. This shows that the village has been a part of the region for many centuries.

Küblis covers an area of about 8.1 square kilometers (around 3.1 square miles). A large part of this land, about 44%, is used for farming. Forests cover another big portion, about 42.4% of the area. Buildings and roads make up about 4.9% of the land. The rest of the area, about 8.6%, includes natural features like rivers and mountains.

The village is nestled in the Prättigau valley. It's an important spot because roads branch off from here to other nearby villages. These include St. Antönien, Conters, Fideris, and Jenaz. Küblis itself is a long village, and it also has smaller areas called hamlets. These hamlets are Prada, Tälfsch, and Pläviggin.
