Kajal Aggarwal (born 19 June 1985) is a famous Indian actress. She mainly acts in Telugu and Tamil films, and has also appeared in some Hindi movies. Kajal has won three South Indian International Movie Awards and has been nominated for four Filmfare Awards South. Many people consider her one of the highest-paid actresses in South Indian cinema.
Kajal started her acting journey with a small role in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na.... Her first main role in a Telugu film was in Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007). Later that year, she became more well-known for her role in Chandamama. A big moment in her career was the 2009 fantasy film Magadheera, which became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films ever.
She has starred in many popular Telugu films like Darling (2010), Businessman (2012), Naayak (2013), and Bhagavanth Kesari (2023). In Tamil cinema, her notable films include Thuppakki (2012), Mersal (2017), and Comali (2019). Her successful Hindi films include Singham (2011) and Special 26 (2013). In 2020, a wax statue of Kajal Aggarwal was placed at Madame Tussauds Singapore, making her the first actress from South Indian cinema to have one.

Early Life and Education
Kajal Aggarwal grew up in Bombay (now Mumbai) in a Punjabi family. Her family originally came from Amritsar. Her father, Vinay Aggarwal, works in the textile business. Her mother, Suman Aggarwal, is a confectioner and also manages Kajal's career. Kajal has a younger sister, Nisha Aggarwal, who is also an actress.
Kajal went to St. Anne's High School, Fort, Mumbai. She then studied at Jai Hind College before going to Kishinchand Chellaram College. There, she earned her degree in mass media, focusing on marketing and advertising. She once mentioned that she hoped to get a post-graduate degree someday.

Starting Out: Early Films
Kajal Aggarwal began her acting career in 2004 with a small role in the Bollywood film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na....
Her first main role in a Telugu film was in 2007's Lakshmi Kalyanam. Later that year, she starred in Chandamama, which was a big success and helped her gain recognition. In 2008, she made her debut in Tamil cinema with Pazhani. She also had a small guest role in the successful Tamil film Saroja.
Becoming a Star: Big Hits
In 2009, Kajal starred in the Telugu historical drama Magadheera. In this film, she played two different roles for the first time. The movie was a huge hit and critics praised her performance as a princess. Personal Life
On 6 October 2020, Kajal Aggarwal announced that she would be marrying Gautam Kitchlu. They got married on 30 October 2020, in a small, private ceremony in Mumbai, with only their close family members present.
Kajal announced her pregnancy on Instagram, and her husband also confirmed the news. She gave birth to a baby boy named Neil on 19 April 2022.
Awards and Recognition
Kajal Aggarwal has been nominated four times for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. These nominations were for her performances in the films Magadheera, Darling, Mr. Perfect, and Govindudu Andarivadele.
