Kakisa is a small community in the Northwest Territories, Canada. It's located in the South Slave Region, right by Kakisa Lake. The name "K'agee" in the Slavey language means "between the willows."
The community is southeast of Fort Providence. It used to be at Tathlina Lake. In 1962, Kakisa moved to its current spot. This move made it closer to the Mackenzie Highway. Now, a 13 km (about 8 miles) all-weather road connects it to the highway.
