Karanvir Bohra (born Manoj Bohra on August 28, 1982) is a well-known Indian actor, producer, and designer. He has starred in many popular TV shows and films. Some of his famous TV series include Shararat, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?, Qubool Hai, and Naagin 2. He has also appeared in films like Kismat Konnection and Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna. Besides acting, Karanvir has been a contestant on reality shows such as Nach Baliye 4 and Bigg Boss 12.

About Karanvir Bohra's Early Life and School
Karanvir Bohra was born on August 28, 1982, in Jodhpur, India. His family has a history in the film industry. His father, Mahendra Bohra, is a filmmaker. His grandfather, Ramkumar Bohra, was an actor and producer. Karanvir has two sisters named Meenakshi and Shivangi.
He went to G D Somani Memorial School in Cuffe Parade. When he was a child, he wasn't very interested in school studies or sports. He first studied science at Elphinstone College in Mumbai. However, he didn't do well in his twelfth grade science exams. Later, he joined Sydenham College in Churchgate. There, he earned a degree in Commerce. Karanvir also trained in the Kathak dance style for two years.
Karanvir's Family Life
Karanvir Bohra married model and VJ (video jockey) Teejay Sidhu. Their wedding took place on November 3, 2006, in Bengaluru. The couple are proud parents to three daughters.
In 2007, Karanvir changed his first name from Manoj to Karanvir. He used to live in Lokhandwala, Andheri, Mumbai. In 2014, he moved to Goregaon, another part of Mumbai. Karanvir is known for being very keen on cleanliness and meditation.
Karanvir's Acting Journey
Starting Out in TV and Early Success (1990; 1999–2005)
Karanvir Bohra began acting as a child. His first role was in the film Tejaa in 1990. He made his TV debut in the show Just Mohabbat, playing the character Kabir. After that, he worked behind the scenes. He was an assistant director for the detective series C.I.D. He also worked on Achanak 37 Saal Baad.
His first main role was in Shararat. This was a fun fantasy show where he played Dhruv. Karanvir also had small roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kkusum. In 2005, he joined the cast of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. He played Prem Basu, a spoiled character. He left the show in 2007 to try acting in Bollywood films. In 2008, Karanvir hosted Ek Se Badhkar Ek. He also took part in dance reality shows like Nach Baliye 4 with his wife, Teejay Sidhu.
First Film Role and Return to TV (2008–2012)
In 2008, Karanvir Bohra had a small role in the film Kismat Konnection. He played Dave Kataria, a businessman. Critics said he acted well in the movie. In 2011, Karanvir returned to television. He starred in Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. He played Viraj Dobriyal, a character with mood swings. This role became very popular. Many people called his character one of the most popular villains on TV. The show was very successful on the Life OK channel.
Making Films and Starting a Business (2013–2014)
In 2013, Karanvir Bohra acted in his first Punjabi film, Love Yoou Soniye. His wife, Teejay Sidhu, also starred in and produced this film with him. In 2013, he appeared in the Hindi film Mumbai 125 KM.
In June 2012, Karanvir started his own clothing line for men called Pegasus. He worked with fashion designer Ammy Billmoria on this. In March 2014, Karanvir and his wife joined the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5. He also hosted Gumrah: End of Innocence 4 in 2014. He left the show in 2015 due to financial issues.
More TV Success (2014–2017)
In April 2014, Karanvir Bohra starred in Qubool Hai on Zee TV. He played Aahil Raza Ibrahim, a rebellious biker. His pairing with co-star Surbhi Jyoti was very popular. Fans loved their chemistry on social media. In 2015, they won the Best Onscreen Jodi award at the Zee Gold Awards.
Karanvir decided to leave Qubool Hai in March 2015. He felt his character's story was getting too long. However, he later returned to the show. He left again in July 2015 when the show planned a big time jump. Qubool Hai ended in January 2016.
In October 2016, he joined the cast of Naagin 2. He played Rocky Pratap Singh, starring alongside Mouni Roy. This show was very successful and ended in June 2017. He also hosted the reality show India's Best Judwaah in the same year.
Bigg Boss and Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna (2018–2019)
In 2018, Karanvir Bohra was a contestant on Bigg Boss 12. This is the Indian version of the Big Brother reality show. He entered the house on September 16, 2018. He finished in fifth place on December 30.
In July 2019, Karanvir starred in the romantic thriller film Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna. His father, Mahendra Bohra, produced this film. Critics had mixed opinions about the movie, but many praised Karanvir's acting.
Online Shows and Recent Work (2020-present)
In January 2020, Karanvir Bohra announced his first role in a web series. It was a thriller called The Casino on Zee5. He played Vikramaditya Marwah, who inherits his father's business. The show was released during the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Later that year, he appeared in another Zee5 web series, Bhanwar. He also directed this show.
In May 2023, Karanvir returned to TV acting. He played Samar Ahluwalia Barot in Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum. Later that year, he played his famous character Viraj Dobriyal again in Saubhagyavati Bhava: * Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu. In 2024, he took on negative roles in TV shows like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Shiv Shakti - Tap Tyaag Taandav.
Voice Acting as Klaw
Karanvir Bohra has also done voice acting. He voiced the character Klaw in the Hindi version of Marvel’s Wastelanders: Doom. This is an audio series from Marvel Entertainment and Audible.
