Karen Fukuhara (born February 10, 1992) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Katana in the 2016 superhero movie Suicide Squad. She also plays Kimiko Miyashiro / The Female in the Amazon series The Boys.
Karen Fukuhara has also lent her voice to many popular animated characters. She voiced Kipo in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Glimmer in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Haru in Pokémon Concierge.

Early Life and School Days
Karen Fukuhara was born in Los Angeles. Her parents are from Japan. She learned to speak Japanese first. For 11 years, she went to a Japanese language school every Saturday. She also has a younger brother.
When she was in middle school, Karen started learning karate. She became a brown-striped belt before going to college. She has always loved the Pokémon games and enjoyed playing on her Game Boy when she was young.
Karen went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While studying, she worked as a reporter for a sports show in Japan. She was also part of an a cappella singing group called Medleys. She graduated from UCLA in 2014. She earned a degree in Sociology and also studied Theater.
Her Acting Career
Karen Fukuhara started in entertainment when she was in middle school. She became a host for Movie Surfers, a short news show on the Disney Channel.
Before becoming a full-time actress, Karen had many different jobs. She worked as a translator and helped edit subtitles. She was also a waitress at a sushi restaurant.
In 2016, Karen made her big movie debut. She played Katana in the DC Comics superhero film Suicide Squad. The movie came out in August 2016. Even though she knew martial arts, Karen trained for about two months. She learned how to use a sword for her role.
In 2019, she appeared in a movie called Stray. She acted alongside Christine Woods, Miyavi, and Ross Partridge.
Karen has also done a lot of voice acting. She voiced characters like Sewer Queen and Alexis in the Cartoon Network show Craig of the Creek. In 2018, she started voicing Glimmer in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. This show was a new version of the 1985 animated series.
Since 2019, she has starred as Kimiko Miyashiro / The Female in the Amazon Prime series The Boys. This show is based on a popular comic book.
In 2020, she voiced the main character, Kipo Oak, in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. This series was based on a short webcomic.
In 2023, Netflix announced that Karen would voice Haru. Haru is the main character in the animated series Pokémon Concierge.
