Craig of the Creek is an American animated TV show. It was created by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin for Cartoon Network. The first episode, called a pilot, came out on the official Cartoon Network app on December 1, 2017.
The full series started online on February 19, 2018. It then had a special two-episode premiere on TV on March 30, 2018. The show has been very popular. On July 15, 2019, it was announced that the show would get a third season. This season started on June 21, 2020. Later, on February 17, 2021, the series was renewed for a fourth season.

About Craig of the Creek
The show takes place in a made-up town called Herkleton, Maryland. This town is near the big cities of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The story is about a boy named Craig Williams and his two best friends, Kelsey Pokoly and John Paul "J.P." Mercer.
They have many exciting adventures in a special place called "the creek." The creek is like a wild, natural playground just for kids. It has tree forts and dirt bike ramps. Different groups of kids have made their own areas and rules there. It's a place where kids can be free and have fun.
Meet the Characters
Main Characters
- Craig Williams (voiced by Philip Solomon) – Craig is a 9-year-old boy. He loves playing at the creek with Kelsey and J.P. He is a natural leader and always tries to help other kids. Craig often carries a homemade staff and a small bag. He is good at math and enjoys it. Craig also loves making maps. He constantly adds new details to his special map of the Creek.
- Kelsey Pokoly (voiced by Georgie Kidder, then Noël Wells) – Kelsey is an 8-year-old girl with red hair. She is one of Craig's best friends. She always wears a purple cape. Kelsey has a pet budgerigar (a type of parakeet) named Mortimor. She calls him her falcon. Mortimor usually sits on her head. Kelsey has very long hair, which she keeps in a big bun. She only unties it before bed. She carries a homemade PVC pipe sword. She made it herself, partly with help from a blacksmith. Kelsey is brave and loves to read books. She can be very dramatic. She often talks to herself in her head, and her friends usually know she's doing it. She lives with her dad, who is a widower. Kelsey is also Jewish.
- John Paul "J.P." Mercer (voiced by H. Michael Croner) – J.P. is a tall, 10-year-old boy. He speaks with a Southern accent. He is another one of Craig's close friends. J.P. wears a big red hockey jersey. He might not be the smartest, but he is very imaginative and kind. He often gets dirty and sometimes hurts himself. His full name is John Paul. Craig and Kelsey "found" J.P. during an earlier adventure.
Craig's Family
- Jessica Williams (voiced by Dharma Brown and Lucia Cunningham) – Jessica is Craig's younger sister. She likes to explain what she is doing out loud. She is very smart for her age. Jessica pays close attention to details. She is already interested in how money and numbers work.
- Bernard Williams (voiced by Phil LaMarr) – Bernard is Craig's older brother. He is a smart teenager. He can sometimes be a bit snobby. Bernard doesn't always approve of Craig's adventures at the creek. He cares a lot about getting good grades. He wants to get into a top college. He also values love and thinks homework is very important. Bernard used to play a game called Bring Out Your Beast. He didn't want to teach Craig at first. But they played it together to win back a special item.
- Duane Williams (voiced by Terry Crews) — Duane is Craig's understanding father. He works with computers. He sometimes plays old video games with Craig. Duane loves telling "dad jokes."
- Nicole Williams (voiced by Kimberly Hebert Gregory) – Nicole is Craig's loving mother. She works as a school counselor. This means she helps students at school. She cares deeply about her children.
- Earl Williams (voiced by LaMarr and Phil Morris) – Earl is Craig's grandfather. He is Duane's father. Craig looks up to his grandfather. Craig has inherited his adventurous spirit from Earl.
- JoJo Williams (voiced by Saundra McClain) – JoJo is Craig's grandmother. She is Duane's mother. JoJo is a city councilwoman. This means she helps make decisions for the city. She was also a civil rights activist in the 1960s. This means she worked to make sure everyone had equal rights.

The show first aired outside the United States in Canada. It debuted on Teletoon on May 3, 2018.
New Spin-off Series
On February 17, 2021, it was announced that a new show was being made. This show will be about Craig's little sister, Jessica. The new series is called Jessica's Big Little World. It will be part of Cartoon Network's new Cartoonito block. This block is for younger children.
