Karl Collins' Early Life and Acting Career
Karl Collins was born in Nottingham, England. He grew up in a place called the Clifton housing estate. When he was a child, Karl was part of the Central Junior Television Workshop. This helped him start acting early. He appeared in TV shows like Dramarama and Your Mother Wouldn't Like It.
In the early 1990s, he had a small role in EastEnders. He played a car thief named 'Craven'. His character stole a car from Frank Butcher's car lot.
From 1999 to 2003, Karl played DC Danny Glaze in The Bill. This was a big role for him. He has also appeared in many other well-known TV shows. These include Casualty, Holby City, and As Time Goes By. He was also in 55 Degrees North and By Any Means. Karl also acted in Shane Meadows' first film, Twenty Four Seven.

On February 10, 2015, it was announced that Karl Collins would join Hollyoaks. This is a popular Channel 4 soap opera. He played a new regular character named Louis Loveday. His first appearance was on March 3, 2015. Karl's character, Louis, left the show on January 22, 2019. Louis was killed off by another character, Breda McQueen (Moya Brady).
