Karlos Jermell Williams Sr. (born May 4, 1993) is a former American football player. He played as a running back. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the 2015 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football for Florida State University.

Early Life and High School Sports
Karlos Williams grew up in Davenport, Florida. He went to Ridge Community High School. There, he was a talented athlete in three different sports. He played football, track, and basketball.
In football, he played both safety and running back. Experts at Rivals.com thought he was a top player. They ranked him as the second-best safety in his age group. He was also considered the eighth best player overall.
Williams was also a fast track star. In 2010, he won the 200-meter dash at a local track meet. His time was 22.49 seconds. The next year, he finished fifth in the 100-meter dash at the state championships. He ran it in 10.7 seconds. As a senior, he ran the 100-meters even faster, at 10.5 seconds.
College Football Career
Karlos Williams started his college football journey at Florida State. For his first two years, he played as a safety. He also helped the team by returning kicks and punts.
In 2011, as a freshman, he played in 12 games. He was a backup safety and a special teams player. He missed his team's bowl game because of a broken wrist. This injury happened in the last game of the regular season. As a sophomore in 2012, he continued as a backup. He played in 14 games and started one.
His junior year in 2013 was a big change. He started as a safety, but after the first game, he moved to running back. His very first time carrying the ball was amazing. He ran 65 yards for a touchdown against the Nevada Wolf Pack. In the 2014 BCS National Championship Game against Auburn, he helped his team win. He ran for 25 yards and even converted a fake punt. He ended that year with 730 rushing yards. He also scored 11 touchdowns.
In 2014, Williams began his senior season as the starting running back. Later, he shared playing time with Dalvin Cook. He finished the year with 689 rushing yards. He carried the ball 150 times and scored 11 touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills Highlights
The Buffalo Bills picked Karlos Williams in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft. He was the 155th player chosen overall. Just like in college, his first carry in the NFL was a touchdown. He ran 26 yards for a score against the Indianapolis Colts.
In his third game, against the Miami Dolphins, Williams had a great performance. He ran for over 100 yards for the first time in his professional career. He gained 110 yards and scored two touchdowns on only twelve carries. One of his touchdowns was a long 41-yard run.
Williams missed three games after getting a concussion in Week 4. He returned to play in Week 9. On November 8, 2015, he scored a career-high 2 touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins. In Week 10, the Bills won against the New York Jets. In that game, Williams tied a special record. He scored a touchdown in his sixth straight game to start his NFL career.
Time with Other Teams
On October 11, 2016, Williams joined the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was signed to their practice squad. He later signed a contract to stay with the Steelers. However, he was released by the team on March 9, 2017.
Later, on November 15, 2019, Williams signed with the Toronto Argonauts. This team plays in the Canadian Football League. He signed an extension with them in December 2020. On April 27, 2021, Karlos Williams announced that he was retiring from professional football.
Family and Personal Life
Karlos Williams comes from a family of football players. His brother, Vince Williams, also played college football at Florida State. Vince played as a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Karlos is also a cousin of Derwin James, another professional football player.
Karlos Williams has seven children. He has two daughters, Kylie and Kota. He also has five sons: Karlos Jr., Kobi, Kason, Korri, and Karter. In early 2017, his son Kason was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease, a health condition.
