Kevin Jermaine "Kay-Jay" Harris (born March 27, 1979) is a former American football player. He was a running back, which is a player who carries the ball. Kay-Jay played for teams like the Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Rams, and New York Giants. He even won a Super Bowl with the Giants!

Early Life and Sports
Kay-Jay Harris grew up in Tampa, Florida. He was a very active kid and played many sports. At Tampa Bay Technical High School, he played football, baseball, basketball, and ran track.
He was so good at baseball that the Texas Rangers picked him to play professionally. He played baseball for four years in a lower league called Class A. After that, he decided to focus on football instead.
College Football Career
Before joining a big university, Kay-Jay went to Garden City Community College in Kansas. Then, he transferred to West Virginia University for his last two years of college.
While playing for the Mountaineers, he played in 23 games. He started six of those games. He ran for 1,483 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He also caught 25 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns. In his senior year, he was recognized as one of the best players in the Big East Conference. He ran for 959 yards and 10 touchdowns that year.
Record-Breaking Game
On September 4, 2004, Kay-Jay had an amazing game. He set a new record for rushing yards in a single game for West Virginia. He also set a record for the Big East Conference. He ran for 337 yards and scored four touchdowns! He did all this on only 25 carries, even though he didn't start the game. West Virginia won that game against East Carolina with a score of 56–23.
Professional Football Career
Kay-Jay Harris was not chosen by any team in the 2005 NFL draft. This means he was an undrafted free agent. However, the Miami Dolphins still signed him to their team in 2005. He spent that year on the team's practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster.
St. Louis Rams
In 2006, Kay-Jay joined the St. Louis Rams. He played as a backup to other running backs like Steven Jackson and Stephen Davis.
During the 2007 preseason, he ran for 25 yards on three carries against the Minnesota Vikings. However, he was released from the team before the regular season started.
New York Giants and Super Bowl Win
Later in the 2007 season, the New York Giants signed Kay-Jay to their practice squad. He stayed with the team through their amazing journey to the Super Bowl XLII. The Giants won the Super Bowl that year, beating the New England Patriots. This means Kay-Jay Harris is a Super Bowl champion!
He re-signed with the Giants for the 2008 season. However, he got an ankle injury during a preseason game on August 18. He was released from the team a couple of days later because of his injury.
