Keddie is located in California at coordinates 40.005901 N and 120.956899 W. It covers an area of about 0.6 square miles (1.6 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
A special feature in Keddie is the Keddie Wye. This is a unique railway intersection built into the mountains. It helps trains change directions efficiently.
History of Keddie
The community of Keddie was named after Arthur W. Keddie. He was a surveyor who worked on railroads. A post office opened in Keddie in 1910. It served the community until 1966.
Keddie's Population in 2010
The 2010 United States Census counted 66 people living in Keddie. This means there were about 102 people for every square mile. There were 65 homes in the area.
