Keith Anderson was born on January 12, 1968. He is an American country music singer and songwriter. He is known for writing and singing many popular country songs.

Before becoming a recording artist, Keith helped write a song called "Beer Run (B Double E Double R-U-N)". This song was sung by famous artists Garth Brooks and George Jones in 2001. Keith signed with Arista Nashville in 2004. His first song, "Pickin' Wildflowers", came out that year. It was part of his first album, Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll. This album had four hit songs and sold very well, earning a gold award.

Keith also wrote "Lost in This Moment" for the group Big & Rich. This song became a number one hit in 2007. Later, Keith moved to the Columbia music label. His second album, C'mon!, was released in 2008. The song "I Still Miss You" from that album became one of his biggest hits, reaching the top 5 on the country charts. His most recent music is an album called I'll Bring the Music, released in 2015.

Growing Up and Early Life

Keith Anderson grew up in Miami, Oklahoma. When he was in middle and high school, he loved playing sports. He also started his music journey by playing in a band at his church.

After finishing high school, Keith went to Oklahoma State University. There, he studied engineering and played baseball. He was even noticed by the Kansas City Royals, a professional baseball team! However, a shoulder injury stopped him from playing baseball professionally. After that, he even tried bodybuilding and came in second in the Mr. Oklahoma competition.

Keith's Music Journey

After college, Keith worked as an engineer in Dallas, Texas. But he soon realized his real passion was music. So, he decided to leave his engineering job to follow his dream.

In Dallas, he started going to clubs at night and began writing songs. His brother, Brian, taught him how to play the guitar. Keith also auditioned for a show called Grapevine Opry, which had helped other country stars get started. He performed there for three years. Then, he performed at big events like the Texas State Fair and Six Flags.

Making His First Album

It was tough financially, so Keith took other jobs like landscaping and being a personal trainer. He even thought about going back to school for physical therapy. But just before starting, he decided to focus completely on music. He said he knew that his engineering degree would always be there, but his chance to make music might not be.

Keith went to Nashville to record his first CD. In 2000, he formed his own band. His first big success as a songwriter came in 2001. That's when Garth Brooks and George Jones recorded "Beer Run", a song Keith helped write.

In 2002, he opened shows for Montgomery Gentry. He performed at many events, which helped him get a recording deal with Arista Nashville. Since then, he has written songs for other artists like Gretchen Wilson and the number one hit "Lost in This Moment" for Big & Rich.

First Album Success: Three Chord Country

In 2004, Keith signed with Arista Nashville. His first album, Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll, was a big hit. It included popular songs like "Pickin' Wildflowers", "XXL", and "Every Time I Hear Your Name".

Another song from the album, the title track "Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll", was remixed. It even featured Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith! The song "Podunk" was the last single from this album.

New Label and Second Album: C'mon!

In 2007, Keith released a song called "Sunday Morning in America". Later that year, he moved from Arista Nashville to Columbia Records Nashville. His first song with the new label was "I Still Miss You" in 2008. This song became his third Top Ten hit!

"I Still Miss You" was the first song from his second album, C'mon!, released in August 2008. This album also included "Sunday Morning in America" and his own version of "Lost in This Moment". The album's next songs were "Somebody Needs a Hug" and "She Could've Been Mine". Keith left Columbia Nashville in late 2009.

Recent Music: I'll Bring the Music

Since 2010, Keith has continued to record and release new songs. He shared some of these songs, like "Wild Girls" and "Your Town for Now", through his fan club. In May 2014, he released the song "I'll Bring the Music".

Keith released a six-song album called I'll Bring the Music on May 12, 2015. It was available on iTunes and Amazon. He also released a full-length album with the same name in 2014, which was available at his website and shows.
