Keith Philip Andrews (born June 15, 1920 – died May 15, 1957) was an American racecar driver. He was known for his skill and for winning the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1954. Sadly, he passed away after a car accident during practice for a big race.

A Sad Day: Keith Andrews' Accident

On May 15, 1957, Keith Andrews was practicing for the 1957 Indianapolis 500 race. He was testing a car that belonged to another driver, Giuseppe Farina. Farina was having trouble with the car.

During the test run, Keith's car began to slide. When he tried to fix it, the car crashed into a wall. Keith was badly hurt in the accident and passed away. There was no fire from the crash. After this sad event, Giuseppe Farina decided not to race.
