Kelsey is a small, quiet place in Minnesota, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Kelsey Township in Saint Louis County.
Where is Kelsey?
Kelsey is located about seven miles west of a place called Cotton. You can find it near where two roads meet: Saint Louis County Highway 7 and County Road 52, also known as Arkola Road. The Whiteface River also flows right through this community.
A Look at Kelsey's History
Kelsey got its own post office way back in 1897. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1988. The community was named after a person named Kelsey D. Chase. He was an important official who worked for the railroad.
