Kenneth Snow (June 23, 1969 – June 21, 2020) was an American soccer player. He was a talented forward who won the Hermann Trophy twice. This award is given to the best college soccer player in the United States. Ken played professionally for eight years, mostly in indoor soccer leagues.

Ken Snow's Early Life and College Soccer Career
Ken Snow was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He grew up in Illinois and played soccer at Hoffman Estates High School from 1983 to 1986. While in high school, Ken scored goals in 47 games in a row. This amazing streak was second only to his brother, Steve Snow. Ken also ranks high on Illinois' all-time lists for career goals and goals scored in a single season.
After high school, Snow went to Indiana University. There, he played NCAA soccer. He was chosen as a first-team All-American four times. This means he was recognized as one of the best college players in the country each year.
Ken won the Hermann Trophy twice, in 1988 and 1990. In 1988, his team, the Indiana Hoosiers, also won the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. He finished his college career with 84 goals and 28 assists. He set a school record with 196 points.
Ken Snow's Professional Soccer Journey
After college, Ken Snow started his professional soccer career. He played for many teams in different leagues. It was common for players in minor leagues to move between teams.
He first joined the Miami Freedom in the American Professional Soccer League. He scored five goals in eleven games there. Then, he was drafted by the Chicago Power. This was an indoor soccer team in the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL).
Snow played four seasons with the Chicago Power. His best season was 1994–1995. He scored 56 goals in 40 games, leading his team in scoring. This led to him being chosen as an NPSL All Star in 1995.
After that, Snow moved to the Detroit Neon in the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL). This league played indoor soccer during the summer. He played with the Neon for at least two seasons, 1995 and 1996. In the fall of 1995, he also played 16 games for the Tampa Bay Terror in the NPSL. Ken continued with Detroit through the 1997 season and was a CISL All Star again. The Detroit team and the CISL league stopped playing after 1997.
Snow then played for the St. Louis Steamers in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) in 1998–1999. In January 1999, he played in the MISL All Star game. Later that season, he was traded to the Philadelphia KiXX.
Ken Snow and Major League Soccer
In 1996, Ken Snow was drafted by the Kansas City Wiz in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Inaugural Draft. The MLS is the top soccer league in the United States. However, the team decided not to keep him before the season started.
In 1998, he tried out for another MLS team, the Chicago Fire. He even scored a goal in a practice game. But he was again waived by the team before the season began.
Ken Snow's National Team Appearances
Ken Snow also played for the United States men's national soccer team in 1988. He played in two international games.
His first game was a 1–0 win against Guatemala on January 13, 1988. He came into the game as a substitute. His second game was six months later, another 1–0 win, this time against Costa Rica on June 14, 1988. He started that game and played the whole time.
Ken Snow's Passing
Ken Snow passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 50. He died in Port Huron, Michigan. His death was due to complications possibly related to COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Michigan.
