His half-brother, Joey D. Vieira, acted in the TV show Lassie. He played a character named Porky. Ken's uncles, Frank and Rudd Weatherwax, were dog trainers. They owned the first dog that played Lassie.

Becoming Pugsley Addams

Ken started acting when he was very young. His first role was in a commercial for Gleem toothpaste. He was only 9 years old at the time.

Soon after, he was chosen to play Pugsley Addams. This was for the popular TV show The Addams Family. The show was on TV for two years, from 1964 to 1966.

Life After The Addams Family

After The Addams Family ended, Ken found it hard to get other acting jobs. People mostly saw him as Pugsley. This is called being "typecast." Because of this, he lost interest in acting for a while.

Ken then started a new career behind the scenes. He worked as a grip in movie studios. A grip helps set up equipment like cameras and lights. He also built sets for movies.

He sometimes went to Addams Family events. He often appeared with Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday Addams. Wednesday was Pugsley's younger sister on the show. Ken and Lisa stayed good friends throughout their lives.
