Kent Matthew Osborne was born on August 30, 1969. He is an American writer, actor, animator, producer, and director. You might know his work from many popular animated TV shows. These include SpongeBob SquarePants, Adventure Time, Regular Show, and The Amazing World of Gumball.
Kent Osborne has won two Emmy Awards for his work on Adventure Time. He was also the head writer for the Cartoon Network show Summer Camp Island. Currently, he is a co-producer and story editor for the Disney Channel series Kiff. His brother, Mark Osborne, is also a director.

Early Life and Education
Kent Osborne and his brother Mark grew up in Vermont. Later, they moved to Flemington, New Jersey. Kent finished high school at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. He then studied acting in New York. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and David Mamet's Atlantic Theater Company.
Kent Osborne's Career Journey
Kent Osborne started his film career with a small role in the movie School Ties (1992). Famous actors like Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon were also in this film. His character in School Ties inspired him to write a movie called Dropping Out. He also starred in this film, which his brother Mark directed. It was shown for the first time at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival.
Osborne also worked as a writer for comedian Rob Schneider. He hosted a TV show called Movie Lounge from 1998 to 2001.
Working on Animated Shows
From 2002 to 2005, Kent Osborne was a writer and storyboard director for SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon. He received two Emmy nominations for his writing on the show. He also helped write The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004).
After SpongeBob, Osborne wrote for other Cartoon Network animated series. These include Camp Lazlo and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. He received Emmy nominations for both shows.
He also worked on Adventure Time, where he received many Emmy nominations. He won two Emmy Awards for Adventure Time in 2015 and 2017. In 2008, he wrote and storyboarded episodes for the first season of Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb.
Kent Osborne has also been a voice director for shows like The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Bee and PuppyCat, Adventure Time, and Steven Universe. He was a story consultant for The Amazing World of Gumball.
Film Roles and Projects
Kent Osborne has acted and written for several independent films. These include Hannah Takes the Stairs (2007) and Nights and Weekends (2008). He co-wrote and starred in Uncle Kent (2011), playing a character based on his own life. He returned for the sequel, Uncle Kent 2, in 2015.
In 2011, he starred in the film How to Cheat. He and his fellow actors won an award for Best Performance at the Los Angeles Film Festival. In 2013, he created an internet series called Cat Agent.
