Kenya Matsui (松井 謙弥, Matsui Ken'ya, born September 10, 1985) is a Japanese football player. He plays as a goalkeeper. Currently, he plays for Taichung Futuro.

Playing for Japan's National Team

Kenya Matsui also played for Japan's national youth teams. In June 2005, he was chosen for the Japan U-20 national team. This team played in the 2005 World Youth Championship. However, he was a reserve goalkeeper. This means he did not get to play in any matches during the tournament. The main goalkeeper was Shusaku Nishikawa.

Kenya Matsui's Club Career

Kenya Matsui has played for many different football clubs in Japan. He started his career at Júbilo Iwata. He played there from 2004 to 2008. After that, he moved to Kyoto Sanga FC in 2009.

Playing for Cerezo Osaka

From 2010 to 2012, Matsui played for Cerezo Osaka. He played in 15 league games for them. He then moved to Tokushima Vortis for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He played in 42 league games there.

Later Career Clubs

In 2015, he joined Kawasaki Frontale. He then played for Omiya Ardija from 2016 to 2017. From 2018 to 2020, he was with Mito HollyHock. He played in 86 league games for them. In 2021, he returned to Cerezo Osaka. In 2022, he played for Blaublitz Akita. Since 2023, he has been playing for Taichung Futuro.
