Kenya Matsui (松井 謙弥, Matsui Ken'ya, born September 10, 1985) is a Japanese football player. He was born in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Kenya Matsui plays as a goalkeeper. He currently plays for Taichung Futuro.

Playing Career Highlights
Starting Out in Japan
Kenya Matsui began his football journey in the youth team of Júbilo Iwata from 2001 to 2003. He then joined their senior team in 2004. He played for Júbilo Iwata until 2008.
Moving Between Clubs
After leaving Júbilo Iwata, Matsui played for several different clubs in Japan. In 2009, he joined Kyoto Sanga FC. From 2010 to 2012, he played for Cerezo Osaka, where he appeared in 15 league games.
He then moved to Tokushima Vortis for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. During his time there, he played in 42 league matches. In 2015, he was with Kawasaki Frontale.
Later Career in Japan
From 2016 to 2017, Matsui played for Omiya Ardija. He then spent three seasons, from 2018 to 2020, with Mito HollyHock. He played 86 league games for Mito HollyHock, showing his consistent performance.
In 2021, he returned to Cerezo Osaka. In 2022, he played for Blaublitz Akita.
Playing in Taiwan
Since 2023, Kenya Matsui has been playing for Taichung Futuro F.C. in Taiwan. He has played in 12 league games for them so far.
National Team Experience
In June 2005, Kenya Matsui was chosen to be part of the Japan U-20 national team. This team played in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. Even though he was part of the squad, he was a reserve goalkeeper and did not play in any matches. The main goalkeeper for the team was Shusaku Nishikawa.
Achievements
- Runner-up: Emperor's Cup in 2004 with Júbilo Iwata.
- Bronze Medal: AFC U-19 Championship in 2004 with the Japan U-19 team.
