Kerry Condon (born January 9, 1983) is an Irish actress. She is known for her roles in many movies and TV shows. She was the youngest actress to play Ophelia in a famous play called Hamlet by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Kerry also played Octavia of the Julii in the TV series Rome. Later, she was Stacey Ehrmantraut in Better Call Saul. Many people also know her as the voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y., an artificial intelligence helper, in several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
She has worked often with director Martin McDonagh. They made plays like The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Cripple of Inishmaan. They also made movies together, including Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin. For her role in The Banshees of Inisherin, Kerry won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2025, she starred as Kate McKenna in the movie F1.

Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Kerry Condon was born in Tipperary, Ireland. She grew up there with her younger brother. Her parents worked with horses, breeding them.
From a young age, Kerry was very interested in acting. Even though a teacher suggested she become an accountant, she knew what she wanted to do. When she was just 10 years old, she started writing letters to people who help actors find jobs. By the time she was 16, she got a small part in the movie Angela's Ashes. This was her first step into the acting world.

Early Stage and Screen Roles
In 2001, when Kerry was 18, she got a big role as Mairead in a play called The Lieutenant of Inishmore. This play was written by Martin McDonagh. She performed it with the Royal Shakespeare Company and later in New York. For this play, she even recorded a song called "The Patriot Game" with the band The Pogues.
That same year, Kerry played Ophelia in the famous play Hamlet. This made her the youngest actress ever to play Ophelia for the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 2009, she appeared in another play by Martin McDonagh, The Cripple of Inishmaan. For her work in this play, she won a Lucille Lortel Award and a Drama Desk Award.
Kerry also started getting movie roles. She played Kate Kelly, the sister of the famous outlaw Ned Kelly, in the 2003 movie Ned Kelly. She also appeared in the Irish movie Intermission with actors like Cillian Murphy and Colin Farrell. In 2005, she was in the action movie Unleashed with Jet Li.
Becoming a TV Star
From 2005 to 2007, Kerry Condon played Octavia of the Julii in the popular TV series Rome. Octavia was the sister of the Roman Emperor Augustus.
After Rome, she appeared in the movie The Last Station in 2009. This film was about the last months of writer Leo Tolstoy's life. Kerry then played a jockey named Rosie Shanahan in the 2012 TV series Luck.
In 2013, Kerry appeared in the TV show The Walking Dead. She played a character named Clara in the fourth season.
Voice Acting and Major Film Success
Kerry Condon is also known for her voice work. She is the voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y., the artificial intelligence that helps Iron Man in the Marvel Studios movies. She voiced F.R.I.D.A.Y. in many films, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
In 2017, Kerry worked with Martin McDonagh again in the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Then, in 2022, she had a very important role in McDonagh's film The Banshees of Inisherin. In this movie, she played the sister of Colin Farrell's character. Her performance in The Banshees of Inisherin received a lot of praise. She won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also received nominations for the Golden Globe Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
