Kevin Berryman Casey Jr. (born June 15, 1981) is an American mixed martial artist. He has competed in the Middleweight division. Kevin has fought for big organizations like Bellator MMA, Strikeforce, and the UFC. He started his professional career in 2007.

About Kevin Casey
Kevin Casey was born in Inglewood, California. He started learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 1995. This happened after he became friends with Rockson Gracie. Rockson is the son of the famous martial artist Rickson Gracie.
Kevin supports CHAMP, a group that helps young people. His brother, Keith Casey, started this non-profit organization. CHAMP uses mixed martial arts to help kids in cities grow stronger in mind and body.
Kevin's Mixed Martial Arts Journey
Kevin Casey began his professional mixed martial arts career in September 2007. His first fight was in Japan for the K-1 Hero's group. He lost this first match to Ikuhisa Minowa.
After his first fight, Kevin competed in North America in 2008. He won two fights that year. He beat Andrew Flores in July and Jimmy Mills in October. Then, he took a break from fighting for a year.
In November 2009, Kevin joined Strikeforce. He won his first fight there by submission against Chad Vance. He fought again for Strikeforce in May 2010. In that match, he lost to Matt Lindland.
Competing on The Ultimate Fighter
In January 2013, Kevin Casey was chosen for a TV show called The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen. This show features fighters competing against each other. Kevin won his first fight on the show. He beat Eldon Sproat using a move called a rear naked choke.
Coach Sonnen picked Kevin for his team. In the next round, Kevin fought Collin Hart and lost. Kevin then got a second chance as a "wildcard" fighter. He fought Bubba McDaniel. Kevin had a strong first round. However, he couldn't continue the fight after the second round. This was due to difficulties with his body from weight changes.
Fighting in the UFC
After The Ultimate Fighter, Kevin Casey fought Josh Samman at the show's finale in April 2013. Kevin lost this fight. After this, he left the UFC for a short time.
Joining Resurrection Fighting Alliance
Kevin then signed with Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA). He won his first RFA fight in August 2013 against Casey Ryan. He won by a decision from the judges.
He fought again in January 2014 against Eddie Mendez. Kevin won this fight in the first round.
Competing in Metamoris
Kevin also took part in Metamoris, a special jiu-jitsu competition. In March 2014, he stepped in at the last minute for a fight. He lost this match to Keenan Cornelius.
In November 2014, Kevin was supposed to fight Vinny Magalhaes at Metamoris 5. But he had to pull out because of a health issue.
Returning to the UFC
After winning a championship at RFA 15, Kevin Casey returned to the UFC. He fought Bubba Bush in July 2014. Kevin won this fight quickly in the first round.
After a break, Kevin fought Ildemar Alcântara in July 2015. He won this fight by a unanimous decision.
In December 2015, Kevin faced Antônio Carlos Júnior. The fight ended very quickly, in just 11 seconds. It was stopped because Kevin was accidentally poked in both eyes and couldn't continue.
Kevin then fought Rafael Natal in January 2016 and lost. In June 2016, he fought Elvis Mutapčić. That fight ended in a draw, meaning neither fighter won.
His last UFC fight was against Sam Alvey in August 2016, which he lost. In October 2016, the UFC announced that Kevin was no longer fighting for them.
Joining Bellator MMA
In November 2016, Kevin Casey signed with Bellator. He fought Keith Berry in January 2017. This fight also ended in a draw.
Kevin's last fight was against Chris Honeycutt in August 2017, which he lost. In February 2018, Bellator announced that Kevin had left the promotion.
Kevin's Personal Life
Kevin Casey is married to Hana Ali. Hana is the daughter of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. She is also the sister of Laila Ali, who is a famous female boxer.
