Kia May Pegg (born 29 June 2000) is an English actress and TV presenter. She is well-known for playing Jody Jackson in the children's TV shows Tracy Beaker Returns (starting in 2012) and The Dumping Ground (from 2013 to 2022). From 2022 to 2024, Kia also played Scarlett Kiernan, a receptionist, in the BBC show Doctors. She was nominated for awards for this role. Since 2022, she has also presented some episodes of Saturday Mash-Up! on CBBC.

Kia Pegg's Early Life and Career
Kia Pegg was born in Birmingham, England, on June 29, 2000. Her dad, Jonathan, is a boxing trainer. Kia has two younger brothers. She started learning acting at the Birmingham Stage School Showbiz. She also trained at the Television Workshop.
First Acting Roles
Kia's very first acting job was in a TV advertisement. It showed how to follow health rules during the 2009 swine flu outbreak. In 2008, she appeared in a show called The Legend of Dick and Dom. She then had a role in the 2010 movie Toast. After that, she played Vicious Vicky in the film Horrid Henry: The Movie.
Starring in Tracy Beaker and The Dumping Ground
In 2012, Kia got a big role as Jody Jackson in the CBBC show Tracy Beaker Returns. She continued playing Jody in the spin-off series The Dumping Ground, which started in 2013. This show became very popular. In 2014, Kia was nominated for a BAFTA award for her role as Jody. She played Jody for eleven years. Her final appearance in The Dumping Ground was in 2022.
Roles in Doctors and Presenting
In 2017, Kia appeared in an episode of the BBC show Doctors. She played a character named Zoe McCluskey. Later that year, she acted in a film called The Quiet One. For her work in this film, she won an award for Best Young Actor at the Birmingham Film Festival.

For this role, she was nominated for a Breakthrough award at the 2022 RTS Midlands Awards. She also received nominations at the British Soap Awards and the Inside Soap Awards in 2023 and 2024.
While filming Doctors, Kia also started presenting on CBBC's Saturday Mash-Up! in 2022. In October 2023, the BBC announced that Doctors would end. Kia continued to play Scarlett until the final episode, which aired on November 14, 2024.
