Kim Hill's Early Life
Kim Hill grew up in Camillus, New York. This is a small town located near Syracuse, New York. She lived with her mother, brother, and sister.
Her Music Career
When Kim Hill moved to Los Angeles, she started working as an extra on TV shows. One of these shows was Living Single.
Joining the Black Eyed Peas
In 1995, Kim met the members of Black Eyed Peas backstage at a music event. She soon joined their group. She also signed with will.i.am's music label, I Am Music. This label was part of Interscope Records.
A big dream came true for Kim in 1998. The Black Eyed Peas were asked to perform on Soul Train. This was a famous TV show where many music stars performed.
Solo Music and Leaving the Group
In 1998, Kim Hill also signed a solo deal with Interscope Records. However, she later decided to release her own music independently. She left the Black Eyed Peas in 2000. Later, in 2002, Fergie joined the group as her replacement.
Since then, Kim Hill has been performing as a solo artist. She also sometimes acts in independent movies. In 2008, she started working as a DJ. In November 2018, Kim used crowdfunding to start her own cosmetic line called Next of Kim.
