Story of Shiny Seven Stars
The story follows the students of Edel Rose, a school for male Prism Stars. They face challenges and compete in the Prism 1 Grand Prix against their rivals from Schwarz Rose. Prism Shows are special performances that combine singing, dancing, and amazing jumps.
Part I: Yukinojo and Taiga's Challenges
After the last movie, King of Prism: Pride the Hero, Yukinojo faces pressure from his father. His father wants him to quit Prism Shows and focus on kabuki, a traditional Japanese theater. Yukinojo's mother helps him understand that his passion for Prism Shows is like his father's passion for kabuki. This helps Yukinojo gain his father's approval to keep performing.
Meanwhile, the new students at Edel Rose travel to Taiga's hometown for a festival. They stay at Taiga's house because their school is having money problems. Taiga's sister shares how Taiga was inspired by another Prism Star, Kazuki, to follow his dreams. When a float for the festival parade doesn't arrive, Taiga performs a Prism Show to save the event.
The leader of Schwarz Rose, Jin, starts a big competition called the Prism 1 Grand Prix. He challenges Edel Rose to a school-wide duel. Seven students from each school will perform solo Prism Shows. There will also be a group performance. The winning school will get a lot of money. Yukinojo performs first for Edel Rose and does very well, putting his school in the lead. Taiga also performs, showing his passion and keeping Edel Rose ahead.
Part II: Kakeru, Joji, and Minato's Journeys
Before the Prism 1 competition, Kakeru is sent away by his family's company. This is a punishment for a mistake he made. In Madagascar, Kakeru talks about his family's company problems. He shares his dream to improve as a leader through his love for Prism Shows.
Minato goes back to his hometown in Shizuoka. He thinks about how Koji inspired him to become a Prism Star and a better chef. Minato starts to doubt his skills in both Prism Shows and cooking. He even thinks about leaving Edel Rose. But after talking with his parents, he decides to stay.
Joji's childhood friend, Miyo, visits him. Joji is part of a group called The Shuffle. During his performance at Prism 1, there's a problem with his microphone. He gets to perform again and does great with help from his friend Ace. Joji becomes a solo act, and Ace becomes the new leader of The Shuffle. Minato also performs well for Edel Rose.
Part III: Leo, Yu, and Alexander's Moments
Before the Prism 1 starts, the older students suggest the new students dress up for a school contest. Leo's older sisters visit, and Leo tries to act more manly around them. He tells his friends that he came to Edel Rose to become more masculine. He was bullied as a child for liking feminine things. When his sisters say they might give up on fashion design, Leo decides not to give up on his dream. He accepts himself for who he is and wins the school contest with a Prism Show.
Yu feels a lot of pressure because he has to write all the songs for his group. The Edel Rose students go on a trip, but Yu gets angry and runs off into the woods. The other boys realize Yu wants to escape the shadow of his sister, Ito, who is a very famous Prism Star. They apologize to him.
Alexander grew up looking up to Rei Kurokawa, who saved him from bullies. Alexander wants to be a street-style Prism Star like Rei. He trains hard to become the best and gets a special friend named Dorachi. At the Prism 1, Leo and Yu perform their Prism Shows. Alexander also performs, but Taiga challenges him to a Prism Battle to stop him from damaging the stadium. Taiga wins, but Alexander's duel excites the audience. Taiga gets a penalty for interfering, which puts Schwarz Rose in the lead.
Part IV: Louis, Shin, and the Prism World
The Prism World creates special beings to help Prism Stars spread "Prism Sparkle." One of them, Shine, believes male Prism Stars are selfish. He disobeys orders and becomes a Prism Star himself. Another being, Rinne, seals Shine away. But without Shine, Rinne's copies become unstable. So, the Prism World creates Louis to guide male Prism Stars. Shine is sealed inside Shin's body when Shin is a child. Louis later reawakens Shine inside Shin.
At the Prism 1, Louis performs a Prism Show. He realizes he is in love with Shin, not Shine. Shine wakes up during Louis's performance. Shine defeats Louis, causing Louis to lose consciousness.
Shin falls unconscious when it's his turn to perform. When he wakes up, he doesn't remember his Prism Show. He watches a video and finds out that Shine took control of his body. Shine performed a powerful move but scared the audience, so Shin scored zero points. Schwarz Rose wins the competition by default. However, Hijiri encourages the Edel Rose students to perform their group song anyway to entertain everyone.
Shin apologizes to the audience for scaring them. The Edel Rose students perform their group song, "Nanairo Chikai (Brilliant Oath)." During their show, the Prism World tries to stop the Prism Sparkle. But with the audience's support, a new Prism Goddess appears, and the Prism Sparkle returns. Shine is sealed away. The Edel Rose 7 Stars earn full points for their performance. Even though they lost the competition, Jin changes his mind and doesn't destroy Edel Rose. The Edel Rose 7 Stars then move to a new agency and become a group called Septentrion.
