Kingsville's History
Kingsville was officially planned and marked out in 1856. The town got its name from General William King, who was one of the first people to settle in the area. A post office, where people could send and receive mail, has been open in Kingsville since 1857.
Geography of Kingsville
Kingsville is located where two roads meet: Route 58 and Missouri supplemental routes W and T. It's about 2.5 miles east of the border between Johnson County and Cass County.
Nearby towns include Holden, which is about five miles to the east. Strasburg is about five miles to the west, located in Cass County. The town covers a total area of about 0.30 square miles, and all of it is land.
