Kiyomitsu Kobari (小針 清允, born on June 12, 1977) is a former professional soccer player from Japan. He played as a goalkeeper for several teams during his career.

Playing for Clubs

Kiyomitsu Kobari was born in Itabashi, Tokyo. He started his soccer journey by joining the youth team of Verdy Kawasaki in 1996. As a young goalkeeper, he worked hard to improve his skills.

Moving to New Teams

In 2001, Kobari moved to Vissel Kobe. The next year, in 2002, he joined Vegalta Sendai. At Vegalta, he competed for the starting goalkeeper spot and played many matches over the years.

Success in Lower Leagues

In 2008, Kobari joined Tochigi SC, a team in the Japan Football League (JFL). The JFL is a league below Japan's main professional leagues. He played in every match that season, helping his team get promoted to the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest professional league.

After a couple of years, he moved to another JFL club, Gainare Tottori, in 2010. Again, he played in all the team's matches. His excellent performance helped Gainare Tottori win the JFL championship and also get promoted to the J2 League.

Retirement from Soccer

Kiyomitsu Kobari continued to play for Gainare Tottori until the end of the 2014 season. After a long and successful career, he retired from professional soccer.

Playing for Japan's National Teams

Kiyomitsu Kobari also had the honor of representing Japan on the international stage.

Under-17 World Championship

In August 1993, when he was just 16, Kobari was chosen to play for the Japan U-17 national team. He participated in the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship. He played every minute of all four matches for his country in that tournament.

Under-20 World Championship

Later, in June 1997, he was selected for the Japan U-20 national team. He played in the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship. His first match in this tournament was against the team from Spain.
