Klaus Fichtel (born November 19, 1944) is a famous German former professional footballer. He was known for playing as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. He played for two big German clubs: Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen. Klaus also played many times for the West Germany national team.

Klaus Fichtel's Football Journey

Klaus Fichtel was born in a place called Castrop-Rauxel in Germany. He started his football career with the club FC Schalke 04. After playing there for many years, he moved to SV Werder Bremen for four years. Then, he returned to Schalke 04 to finish his career.

Playing in the Bundesliga
