Racing Career Highlights

Klaus Graf was born in Dornhan, Germany. He has won many championships and races in different types of road racing.
In 2004, he raced part-time in the NASCAR Nextel Cup for a team called BAM Racing. He finished 17th in one race at Infineon Raceway. He tried to race in two other events that year but did not qualify. In 2007, he tried to enter 8 more races for the same team but again, he did not qualify for any of them.
In 2005, Klaus Graf won the Trans-Am Series Driver's Championship. This made him the first Trans-Am champion not born in the United States since David Hobbs in 1983.
Klaus later raced for Muscle Milk Pickett Racing in the American Le Mans Series. In the 2010 season, he had some great results. He won the LMP2 class at the 12 Hours of Sebring. He shared this win with team owner Greg Pickett and Sascha Maassen. He also won overall races (and the LMP class) at the Northeast Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of Mosport. For these wins, he shared driving duties with Greg Pickett and Romain Dumas.
In 2011, Graf continued his winning streak. He took victories at Long Beach, Mosport, Mid-Ohio, and Road America. He drove the team's Lola-Aston Martin car. For the 2012 season, Graf stayed with the team. He drove a new HPD ARX-03a car with his teammate Lucas Luhr for the entire ALMS season.
Together, Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr won the ALMS LMP1 driver's championships in both 2012 and 2013.
