Klossner's History
Klossner has an interesting past. The community was officially "platting" in 1897. When a place is "platting," it means that someone drew up a map showing how the land would be divided into lots and streets. This helps organize how the community will grow. Klossner was named after its founder, Jacob Klossner, who helped start the community.
Even before it was officially platting, Klossner had a post office. It opened in 1896, allowing people in the area to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed its doors on May 1, 1985.
