Some of her most famous books include Winter Garden, The Nightingale, Firefly Lane, The Great Alone, and The Four Winds. Her book The Women, published in 2024, tells a story set in the United States during the 1960s Vietnam War.
Kristin Hannah's Journey
Kristin Hannah was born in California. She studied communication at the University of Washington and graduated in 1983. After college, she worked at an advertising company in Seattle. Later, she went to law school at the University of Puget Sound and worked as a lawyer in Seattle. Eventually, she decided to become a full-time writer. Kristin Hannah wrote her very first novel with her mother, though that book was never published.
Her book, The Nightingale, is one of her biggest successes. It has sold over 4.5 million copies around the world and has been translated into 45 different languages.
Kristin Hannah lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with her husband and their son.
