About Ksenija Pajčin
Early Life and Family
Ksenija Pajčin was born in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia. Her parents were Ljubica and Miloš. Her family came from a village called Gubin in Bosnia, near Livno. She was also the cousin of a singer named Baja Mali Knindža. After Ksenija passed away, he released a song called "Spavaj, kraljice" (meaning Sleep, Queen) to remember her.
Her Journey in Music
Ksenija started her career as a backup dancer. In 1994, she appeared in the music video for Dragana Mirkovic's song Opojni su zumbuli. She also worked as an assistant for an important music manager named Minimaks. He had helped famous stars like Lepa Brena.
Later, Ksenija was asked to join a pop group called Duck. She was the female singer for the group. For their first album, another singer, Marija Mihajlović, actually sang the songs. Ksenija would lip sync during performances.
As a dancer, Ksenija became well-known in Greece. She performed in many night clubs there. After some time, Ksenija started her own solo music career. Even though her singing voice wasn't her main strength, she became famous for her amazing dancing and unique outfits. She even owned her own dance studio in Belgrade. Ksenija also worked as a model and was often featured in magazines.
One of her last songs was a duet with her friend Danijel Alibabić. The song was called "Supica" and came out in July 2009. The music video for "Supica" was filmed a few months later and was released on January 9, 2010. This was just two months before Ksenija's death. Later, Danijel Alibabić wrote another song, "Pjesma za Kseniju" (Song For Ksenija), in her honor.
Sad Passing
Ksenija Pajčin and her boyfriend, Filip Kapisoda, were found dead in her apartment in Belgrade on March 16, 2010. Ksenija was buried on March 20, 2010, at the Novo groblje cemetery in Belgrade.
