La Parva is a super cool ski resort and small town in the amazing Andes Mountains of Chile. It's located about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northeast of Santiago, the capital city. La Parva is one of three popular ski resorts in the area, often called the "3 Valleys." The other two resorts are El Colorado and Valle Nevado.
This resort is a fantastic place for skiing and snowboarding. It has special machines to keep the slopes in great shape. You can ride up the mountain using one of its 14 lifts, which include chairlifts and surface lifts. The highest point you can ski from is an incredible 3,630 meters (11,909 feet) above sea level!

The resort boasts 20 different trails. These trails cover a huge area of about 400 hectares (988 acres). The longest run is about 2.4 kilometers (1.5 miles) long, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the ride down. There's also a small terrain park where you can practice jumps and tricks.
Getting Up the Mountain: Lifts
To get to the top of the slopes, La Parva has 14 lifts. These include four chairlifts, some of which can carry four people at once. There are also ten surface lifts, which are great for getting around the resort. These lifts help you reach the highest skiable point at 3,630 meters (11,909 feet).
Snow and Weather at La Parva
La Parva gets a lot of natural snow, usually around 7.62 meters (25 feet) each winter! If nature needs a little help, the resort also has snowmaking equipment. This means there's almost always enough snow for a great day on the slopes. The ski season usually runs from June to October, depending on the snowfall.
