La Tirana is a small town in Chile. It is located in the Tarapacá Region, within the Tamarugal Province. This town is like an oasis, a green spot in the middle of the dry Pampa del Tamarugal desert. It is about 72 kilometers (45 miles) from the port city of Iquique.

The Famous La Tirana Festival
