Her Early Life and Baptism
Louise was born earlier than expected on 8 November 2003 at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. Her mother, Sophie, who was then Countess of Wessex, was taken to the hospital quickly from their home. Louise's father, Prince Edward, was not there because he was on a trip to Mauritius.
Louise was born by a special surgery called a Caesarean section. There was a serious medical issue for both her and her mother. Louise was moved to a special care unit for babies in London to be safe. Her mother stayed at Frimley Park until she was well enough to go home on 23 November 2003. Louise's full name, Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary, was announced a few days later.
Lady Louise was baptised at Windsor Castle on 24 April 2004. Her godparents are like special guides for her, and they include Lady Sarah Chatto and Lord Ivar Mountbatten. Louise was the last royal baby to wear the original royal christening gown. This special gown has been used for many royal baptisms over the years.
When she was born, Louise had a condition that affected her eyes. She had an operation in 2006 to try and fix it, but it wasn't fully successful. She had more treatment in late 2013, and her eyes were corrected.
Her Education Journey
Louise first went to St George's School, Windsor Castle. In 2017, she moved to St Mary's School Ascot when she was in Year 9. For her advanced school subjects, called A-Levels, she chose English, history, politics, and drama.
While she was at school, she took part in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This is a program that helps young people develop skills and confidence. In September 2022, Lady Louise began studying English at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Before starting university, in August 2022, it was reported that she had been working at a garden centre during the summer holidays. Titles and Special Recognition

This means she is known as "Lady" instead of "Princess." In 2020, her mother said that Louise still has her royal title and can choose to use it when she turns 18.
