Lake Hallie is a village in Chippewa County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Eau Claire metropolitan area. A "village" is a type of small town with its own local government.
Lake Hallie became an official village on February 18, 2003. This happened when it separated from a larger area called the Town of Hallie. In 2020, about 7,170 people lived in Lake Hallie. This was an increase from 6,448 people in 2010.

History of Lake Hallie
The village of Lake Hallie gets its name from a nearby lake. This lake is a special type of lake called an oxbow lake. It formed from a bend in the Chippewa River. The lake is located between the cities of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.
Early Industry and Mills
In 1843, some brothers named McCann and Jeremiah C. Thomas built a mill called the Blue Mill. This mill used Lake Hallie to hold logs. Later, the mill was bought by the Badger State Lumber Company and became known as Badger Mills. It stopped working in the 1890s because there were not enough logs left.
Becoming a Village
Lake Hallie officially became a village on February 28, 2003. This decision was made by the people living there through a vote. The main reason for forming the village was to stop the nearby cities of Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire from expanding into their area.
Most of the people who lived in the Town of Hallie in 2000 ended up living in the new village. Since becoming a village, Lake Hallie has grown a lot. Its population increased by over 37% between 2000 and 2010.
Geography of Lake Hallie
Lake Hallie is surrounded by several other places. To the north is Chippewa Falls. To the south are Eau Claire and the Town of Seymour. The Chippewa River forms its western border. To the southeast is the remaining part of the Town of Hallie, and to the east is the Town of Lafayette.
The village covers a total area of about 14.57 square miles (37.77 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 14.09 square miles (36.63 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.48 square miles (1.14 square kilometers), is water.

Tom Sippel Field is the home field for the Hallie Eagles. This is a baseball team that plays in the Chippewa River Baseball League. The Eagles have won the league championship three times: in 1984, 1996, and 2000. They have also won their division several times.
