How the Community is Managed
In 1993, a plan was approved to help manage the community better. Now, two main groups take care of Lake Holiday:
- The Lake Holiday Conservancy District Board of Directors: This group owns and takes care of the lake itself. They also look after the dam, boat ramps, parks, and the clubhouse.
- The Board of the Lake Holiday Property Owners Association: This group is in charge of maintaining the roads. They also handle things related to homes and lots in the area.
Facts About the Lake Holiday Area
The Lake Holiday area covers about 750 acres. There are 780 property owners and 369 homes. The community also has 1,296 privately owned lots.
The lake itself is quite large, covering 150 acres. It's usually about 10 feet deep, but it can be up to 20 feet deep near the dam. There are many miles of shoreline around the lake. The community also has about 16 miles of roads.
Fun Activities at Lake Holiday
The clubhouse is a busy place in Lake Holiday. It hosts community breakfasts and regular card games. There are also fun seasonal events like Easter egg hunts.
If you love fishing, you're in luck! There's a crappie fishing tournament on the lake every May. During the summer, bass fishing tournaments are held on Thursdays, if the weather is good.
