Lake Placid is a man-made lake, also known as a reservoir. It's located on the Guadalupe River in Guadalupe County, Texas. You can find it about half a mile southwest of the town of Seguin. This lake was created in 1928 when a dam was built across the river. Since May 1, 1963, the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority has managed the dam and the lake. Lake Placid is a popular spot for outdoor fun like fishing, boating, and swimming.
