Lakeville is a small community known as a hamlet in New York State. It is also a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area identified by the government for gathering population data. Lakeville is located in Livingston County, within the town of Livonia. In 2010, about 756 people lived here. The most recent count in 2020 showed a population of 694.

Where is Lakeville Located?
Lakeville is found in the northeastern part of Livingston County. It is in the northwestern section of the town of Livonia. This area is in the state of New York, in the United States.
Lake Features and Waterways
Lakeville sits at the very northern end of Conesus Lake. This lake is the westernmost of New York's famous Finger Lakes. From Conesus Lake, water flows out into Conesus Creek. This creek then flows north and eventually joins the Genesee River. The community of Lakeville is next to the Conesus Lake CDP to its south.
Roads and Travel
Two main roads pass through Lakeville. U.S. Route 20A goes right through the center of the hamlet. If you travel east on Route 20A, you will reach Livonia village in about 2 miles (3.2 km). Going west for about 6 miles (9.7 km) will take you to Geneseo. Geneseo is important because it is the main town, or county seat, for Livingston County.
New York State Route 15 also runs through Lakeville. It travels east with US 20A towards Livonia village. However, Route 15 then turns north onto Rochester Road. From there, it's about 2 miles (3.2 km) to Interstate 390. If you continue on Route 15, you can reach the city of Rochester in about 23 miles (37 km).
