Lalleyriat was a small village, or commune, located in eastern France. It was part of the Ain department. Think of a department like a county or a region. On January 1, 2016, Lalleyriat joined with another village called Le Poizat to form a new, larger commune named Le Poizat-Lalleyriat. This means Lalleyriat is no longer a separate commune on its own.
