The Lamborghini Veneno is a super cool and super fast sports car made by the Italian company Lamborghini. It's a very special car because only a few were ever made! Lamborghini created the Veneno to celebrate their 50th birthday. It was first shown to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. When it first came out, it cost about $4,000,000. This made it one of the most expensive production cars in the world!

What Makes the Veneno Special?
The Veneno has a powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine. This engine is similar to the one in the Lamborghini Aventador. It can make 750 horsepower, which is a lot of power! Lamborghini made the engine even stronger by changing how air goes into it. They also updated the exhaust system.
The Veneno was designed to feel like a race car you can drive on the road. The front of the car helps air flow smoothly. This design also pushes the car down onto the road for better grip. The special shape of the car helps air move around it. This stops the car from lifting too much at high speeds.
The bottom of the car is very smooth. This helps the air flow without any problems. The Veneno also has a huge carbon-fiber wing at the back. This wing can be adjusted in three different ways. It helps the car stick to the road even better.
Wheels and Brakes
The wheels on the Veneno are very special. The front wheels are 20 inches, and the back wheels are 21 inches. They look like turbines, which are like small fans. This design helps direct air to cool the car's brakes. The brakes are made of a special material called carbon-ceramic.
The wheels also have a "center lock" design. This means they can be put on and taken off very quickly. The car uses special Pirelli P-Zero tires. These tires are designed for high performance.
Inside the Car
The Veneno uses a strong and light carbon-fiber body. It also has a special suspension system. This system helps the car handle bumps and turns smoothly. The inside of the Veneno looks a lot like the Aventador's interior. But it has a cool "carbon skin" material.
The car has a 7-speed automatic manual transmission. This is a special gearbox that shifts gears very fast. It even has a "track" setting. This setting makes the car perform even better on a race track.
Speed and Design
The Veneno's design is very different from other Lamborghinis. It looks like a racing prototype car. The "Y-shaped" design parts are similar to the Aventador. The back wheel arches look like the classic Lamborghini Countach.
The engine cover has vents to keep the engine cool. All the special parts on the car show it's built for speed. The Veneno can go super fast, up to 355 kilometers per hour (221 miles per hour)! It can go from 0 to 97 kilometers per hour (60 miles per hour) in just 2.9 seconds. It can also stop very quickly. It only needs 30 meters (98 feet) to stop from 97 kilometers per hour (60 miles per hour).
Veneno Roadster
The Veneno Roadster is a version of the car without a roof. It was first shown in 2014 on an Italian aircraft carrier called the Cavour. This ship was docked in Abu Dhabi. Later, it was also shown at a big technology show in Las Vegas.
The Roadster performs just like the coupé (the version with a roof). It's only a little bit heavier, about 50 kilograms (110 pounds). This is because it has extra parts to make the body strong without a roof. The Roadster was sold for about €3,300,000, not including taxes.
How Many Were Made?
Lamborghini made very few Veneno cars. They built only four of the Veneno Coupé (the car with a roof). One of these cars was kept by Lamborghini for their museum. The other three were sold to customers. Each of these three cars had a special color accent: red, green, or white.
Besides the coupés, only nine Veneno Roadsters were made. These roadsters could be fully customized. This means customers could choose almost anything they wanted for their car!
