Early School Days

A school called Mount Stradbrook Provisional School first opened its doors on 8 July 1907. It was a "provisional" school, meaning it was set up to serve a smaller number of students.

Becoming Lark Hill State School

In June 1908, the school's name was changed to Lark Hill Provisional School. Then, on 1 January 1909, it officially became Lark Hill State School. This meant it was a permanent school run by the state government. The school taught local children for many years before it closed on 28 July 1967.
