Larry Beavers (born October 7, 1985) is an American football player who is known for being a great wide receiver and kick returner. He currently plays for the Kansas City Goats in The Arena League.

Early Life and High School
Larry Beavers grew up and went to Annapolis High School in Maryland. While he was there, he was a talented athlete who played three different sports: football, baseball, and track.
College Football Career
After high school, Larry went to Wesley College, which is a smaller Division III school located in Dover, Delaware. He was an amazing kick returner in college. In fact, he holds a special record for all college football divisions: he scored 10 touchdowns from kick returns! That's more than anyone else in college history. He also had a fantastic career as a receiver, gaining 2,366 receiving yards, which made him the second-best receiver in his college's history.
Professional Football Journey
Larry Beavers has played for many different teams in various football leagues throughout his professional career.
Starting in the NFL
After finishing college, Larry hoped to play in the National Football League (NFL). He wasn't chosen in the main draft, but the Carolina Panthers signed him on May 1, 2009, as an undrafted free agent. This means a team signed him even though he wasn't picked during the official draft. However, he was released by the team before the regular season started.
In 2010, the New Orleans Saints signed Larry on May 13. But he was later released when another player, Robert Meachem, was ready to play again.
Playing in Arena and Canadian Football
After his time in the NFL, Larry moved to other exciting football leagues.
- Arena Football League (AFL): In 2011, he joined the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League. He later played for the New Orleans VooDoo starting in 2013, and then the Las Vegas Outlaws in 2015.
- Canadian Football League (CFL): For a short time in 2011, Larry played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League, which has slightly different rules than American football.
Later Arena Football Teams
Larry continued his career in the Arena Football League and other indoor leagues:
- Cleveland Gladiators: He joined the Cleveland Gladiators in 2015 and played with them for a while.
- Philadelphia Soul: In 2017, Larry was assigned to the Philadelphia Soul. This was a big year for him because the Soul won the championship game, ArenaBowl XXX, by beating the Tampa Bay Storm 44–40!
- Georgia Doom: In 2018, he signed with the Georgia Doom in the American Arena League.
- Albany Empire: He also played for the Albany Empire in the AFL in 2018.
- West Virginia Roughriders: From 2018 to 2020, Larry played for the West Virginia Roughriders in the American Arena League.
- Jersey Flight: In 2020, he signed with the Jersey Flight in the National Arena League (NAL).
- Orlando Predators: Larry joined the Orlando Predators in the NAL in 2021 and re-signed with them for the 2023 season before being released.
