Larry Beavers (born October 7, 1985) is an American football player. He plays as a wide receiver and kick returner. Currently, he plays for the Kansas City Goats in The Arena League.

Early Life and High School Sports
Larry Beavers grew up and went to Annapolis High School. While there, he was a talented athlete. He played three different sports: football, baseball, and track.
College Football Achievements
After high school, Larry went to Wesley College. This is a Division III school located in Dover, Delaware. During his time in college, Larry set an amazing record. He holds the NCAA all-divisions record for kick return touchdowns with 10! This means he scored 10 touchdowns by returning kicks, which is more than any other player in any college division. He also finished his college career with 2,366 receiving yards. This made him the second all-time leading receiver in his college's history.
Larry Beavers' Professional Football Journey
Starting in the NFL
After college, Larry Beavers hoped to play in the National Football League (NFL). He joined the Carolina Panthers on May 1, 2009, as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the main draft but was signed by a team afterward. However, he was released by the Panthers before the regular season started.
In 2010, Larry got another chance in the NFL. He signed with the New Orleans Saints on May 13. But he was later cut from the team when another player returned from injury.
Playing in Arena and Canadian Football
After his time in the NFL, Larry Beavers explored other football leagues. In 2011, he joined the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League (AFL). This league plays football indoors on a smaller field.
Later that year, on June 17, 2011, Larry moved to Canada. He signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The CFL has slightly different rules than American football.
Success in the Arena Football League
Larry Beavers spent many years playing in the Arena Football League. He played for several teams, including the New Orleans VooDoo from 2013 to 2015. He also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in 2015.
From 2015 to 2017, he was with the Cleveland Gladiators. His hard work paid off, and he was recognized as one of the best players. He was named Second Team All-Arena twice, in 2014 and 2016.
A big highlight of his career came in 2017. Larry joined the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL. On August 26, 2017, his team, the Soul, won the ArenaBowl XXX championship! They beat the Tampa Bay Storm with a score of 44–40. Winning the ArenaBowl is a huge achievement for any player in the AFL.
Continuing His Football Career
After his championship win, Larry Beavers continued to play professional football. He signed with the Georgia Doom in the American Arena League (AAL) in January 2018. He also played for the Albany Empire in the AFL later that year.
In October 2018, Larry joined the West Virginia Roughriders of the AAL. He even re-signed with them for the 2020 season.
Later, he played for the Jersey Flight in the National Arena League (NAL) in 2020. In 2021, he signed with the Orlando Predators, also in the NAL. He played for them through the 2022 season and part of 2023.
Larry Beavers has had a long and exciting career playing football across different leagues. He is currently playing for the Kansas City Goats in The Arena League.
