Larson is a very small community in Burke County, North Dakota, in the United States. It used to be a city, but now it's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local city government anymore. It's also a census-designated place, which is a special area the U.S. Census Bureau defines for counting people. In 2020, only 9 people lived there.
Larson was started in 1907. It was named after Columbus Larson, who was an early postmaster (someone in charge of a post office) in the area. The nearby town of Columbus was also named after him.
In 2003, Larson's city government was officially ended. Even though it's not a city anymore, it was still included in the 2010 census because it was made a census-designated place.
