Leadville North is located in the beautiful state of Colorado, in the United States. It sits right next to the city of Leadville to its south. Leadville is the main town in Lake County.
Roads and Travel
A major road, U.S. Route 24, runs along the eastern side of Leadville North. This highway can take you on some exciting trips!
- If you drive north for about 31 miles (50 km), you will cross the Continental Divide. This is a high point in the Rocky Mountains where rivers on one side flow to the Atlantic Ocean, and rivers on the other side flow to the Pacific Ocean. You will then reach Interstate 70 (I-70) near Minturn.
- If you drive south through Leadville for about 35 miles (56 km), you will arrive at Buena Vista.
Another important road, Colorado State Highway 91, starts in Leadville North. It goes north-northeast for about 22 miles (35 km) to I-70 near Copper Mountain.
