Leola is a small city in South Dakota, United States. It is the main town, also called the county seat, of McPherson County, South Dakota.
The city was started on May 1, 1884. It was named after Leola Haynes, whose father was one of the people who helped create the town. In 2020, about 434 people lived in Leola.
